Why Is Internet Marketing Better Than Traditional Marketing?

Marketing is an integral part of running a successful business, and it has evolved over the years and will continue to do so with time. Marketing includes publicity, advertising, merchandising, sales, distribution channels and much more. Present day businesses have two ways of spending their funds allocated for marketing, namely the Internet marketing, and the traditional marketing.

It used to be challenging to decide whether to follow an Internet marketing strategy for your business, or to go with the traditional marketing plan. But now with the Internet age taking over our lives, it has become particularly crucial to adopt Internet marketing into your business strategies.

Internet marketing, as well as Traditional marketing, both have their pros and cons, however a combination of both would be the best option for any kind of business.

Traditional Marketing

Traditional marketing relies on direct selling, such as media (TV commercial and Radio) and print media, such as billboards, magazine ads and flyers. It also includes the use of a large amount of printed material, like brochures or catalogues for promoting the products or services.

Traditional marketing – Pros:

To reach certain type of target audience, you may need to depend on traditional marketing only. An example will be reaching out to retiring CEOs, as a majority of them are not accustomed to the ways of various platforms offered by the Internet.
An important aspect of traditional marketing is selling through personal contacts. For certain products, direct selling through personal contact proves to be the most successful way of marketing.
Many continue to prefer being approached personally and given some printed material that they can read at their convenience.

Limitations of Traditional marketing

Costly: Advertising on radio and TV is very expensive and often beyond the reach of small businesses. Even printing product brochures, flyers and business cards is quite expensive.
Results can’t be tracked easily: In case of traditional marketing, quantitative analysis is very difficult. You may need to try a few things before discovering the most viable option.
Almost always requires external help: You need to seek help from other professionals for advertising on radio/TV or designing and printing the catalogues and mailer.
Forced: Usually, traditional marketing is forced upon users, who generally don’t like it.

Internet Marketing

This style of marketing relies on utilizing the Internet. This holds true for virtual companies, which depend solely on the Internet for promoting their business, and also for companies which exist physically and want to exploit the web for advertising their goods or services.

Internet marketing includes the planning and designing of a business website, and creating an online presence for the company website and brand with the help of search engine optimization. It also makes use of social media, email marketing and advertising through the net.

Internet Marketing – Pros:

Result can be tracked and analyzed.
Decision taking can be based on tracked and analyzed results.
Social media has now become an integral part of Internet marketing, and it is a very sophisticated and effective evolved form of word of mouth marketing Social media allows businesses to straightway access various groups and individuals in order to laser target their reach. Moreover, social media enables business to develop relationship with their clients without involving any third-party.
It is highly cost-effective.
Small as well as large business can benefit from Internet Marketing.

Limitations of Internet Marketing

Creating and keeping your content updated, which is an essential feature of this kind of marketing, demands a lot of your time.
You may not see results for the 1st couple of weeks or even months.
Direct Selling will hardly work in Internet marketing.

If you are a small business just getting started, then Internet marketing is the best way for you to move forward. With all the information available online, it won’t be so difficult to start marketing your website on your own. For those who want a professional’s help, can always research online and hire a professional SEO expert. Hope this article was of help.

Three Types of Internet Marketing And Its Pros And Cons

Marketing is not just about going house to house promoting your products and services or paying thousands of dollars just to have a TV or radio commercial aired to let people know you are launching a product. With the help of the Internet, business owners, manufacturers and home-based job seekers will find that marketing can be done without spending too much money and at the same time being able to earn extra money.

The Three Common Types of Internet Marketing

There are actually three types of Internet marketing and I will address each one in detail. Then you’ll have enough information to help you decide whether this business is for you and if you will benefit more from one, two or maybe all three types.

1. Video Marketing

This advertising strategy is similar to how television ads work to promote a specific type of product or service. The only difference is that video marketing is now making its way to the digital world. It is viewed as a means of reinforcing an existing marketing campaign to help remind Internet surfers of products that are available. You can also earn more money by accepting advertisements which you can include in your video postings.

Advantages of Video Marketing

Social Media Friendly

It doesn’t take a genius to know that videos about product promotions and endorsements can be spread through social media. As a matter of fact, people can even hire social networking fanatics to spread videos by posting them on their walls and tagging their friends as well. Imagine a Facebook wall without tagged posts in forms of movie trailers, music videos, slide shows and product endorsements. It would be super boring and utterly plain.

Budget Friendly

This is considered to be one of the friendliest marketing strategies in terms of working within your budget. So if you are looking for a cheaper way to further promote and support your existing advertising campaigns, these videos can help you in a really big way. Posting on social networking sites such as Twitter, Facebook, MySpace or Orkut is completely free. Merchants can work with you by paying you a commission just to have their products advertised through your videos on YouTube.

Style Friendly

Forget about using old school flyers and sticky posters to market your business, services or creations. You now have an option to advertise in style through Internet marketing. People who are into staying connected and finding everything they want in a snap would find video marketing a really effective and helpful way to shop and look for services without much effort.

Location and Target Friendly

You can specify your target audience as well as the locations where you would like your videos to be shown. This works regardless of whether you have a local business that you would like to promote or if you’re hired to make videos for nationwide businesses.

Disadvantages of Video Marketing

There are several things that you might call limitations in terms of using video marketing as an Internet business model. Consumers will not be able to physically take a sample of the products that you are promoting. If you are the one in charge of coming up with the video, you need to have the required skills to make the video ad so the final product is flawless. Another fact to consider is that some videos are believed to be scams, so be careful with regard to the ads that you respond to.

How to Start Video Marketing

Make a profitable business venture through video marketing and here’s how you can be the king of Internet businesses:

I) Be a video editing master. If you are into video making and you have the skills to turn simple storylines or concepts into amazing videos, this is the perfect business for you. Be creative and you can become successful.

II) Invest in video editing programs and software which can be pretty easy to find. There are some that are highly sophisticated and expensive but you can also purchase software that’s very affordable, user friendly and is still able to create fantastic video effects as well.

III) Find your target market. Remember that you can choose which kinds of videos you want to make so think about your concepts, ideas and the types of products that you want to work on.

2. Email Marketing

Making extra money can be done through email marketing. If you are constantly online checking your emails or chatting with your friends, email marketing can be your way to earning enough to start a permanent Internet business. You can send emails to promote products, services and events. Email marketing can help retain loyal clients so you need to appreciate the value of the business they bring in.

How will You Earn Money through Emails?

Email marketing requires you to have a target list of recipients – a list of people who are scheduled to receive your email advertisements. If you’re working for an online company that usually sends out newsletters and virtual coupons to their customers, you can get your updated list from them. To get your lists of recipients organized, an autoresponder can be of great help.

You also have to collect new email addresses by getting people to subscribe to your emails. So how can you convince guests to subscribe? You can send free gift cards, coupons, newsletters, articles, eBooks and other useful products that will be of some benefit to them.

Once you have a regular email following, you can earn money from selling good quality products or services to your list of subscribers. Be careful that you don’t overdo the sales-type emails or people will unsubscribe very quickly.

Choose from three types of email marketing: Direct email, retention and advertising for other people.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Email Marketing

This is a business that you can run without spending too much money. This low-cost business can help you earn money faster than you can take a dollar out of your wallet. You can also reach your target client instantly. Another good thing about email marketing is that you can add a touch of creativity through personalized emails.

Businesses also go for this type of Internet marketing to reach out to a lot of people without spending too much on snail mail or hiring people to distribute flyers or put up posters. At the same time, including complementary gift coupons in your emails is a great way to keep your loyal customers happy.

On the other hand, there are several downsides to email marketing. Sometimes Internet connection glitches can cause email delivery failures so members of your list don’t receive whatever you’re sending them. It can be dangerous to send the same email more than once in case it’s viewed as spam and you get marked as a spammer. If this happens, you will be completely blocked from their virtual mail boxes.

Spamming also started the feud between email marketers and the law. Due to the increase in the number of hackers and spammers in the virtual world, laws have been passed to punish those who are found guilty of spamming.

3. Article Marketing

Write your way to a successful Internet business through article marketing. This viral marketing tactic is all about writing and hiring freelance writers to compose ads and feature articles to promote their businesses, products and services. These articles are usually keyword-centric, which means that when you write for a client, you will be asked to compose your articles around specific keywords or phrases. These words are then linked to the client’s actual website.

Tips to Start Earning Money through Article Marketing

Remember that if you want to earn money through this Internet business model, you have to be specific about what you write because article sites such as About.com, and eHow.com are very particular about the content of each article they receive. If your posts have passed their quality checks, you can be sure that you’ll get paid for your work. All important information should be included in your articles and a resource box needs to be added if you’re quoting lines or phrases from existing posts on the Internet.

You also need to find clients that will pay on a regular basis and agree on what that basis will be. If you are wondering how you are going to get paid, there are several ways to receive money from clients. They include: direct deposits, credit cards, moneygrams and online payment transaction sites such as PayPal.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Article Marketing

If you are seriously thinking about taking on article writing, you need to understand the benefits you can get out of this business. One positive thing about article marketing is the fact that finding clients is not that difficult, although it will depend on how much you’re willing to accept to do the work.

There are tons of legit online job postings for content writing so there would be potential jobs available a lot of the time. Another great thing about this is that payment can be received instantly. Depending on your agreement with your clients, you can get paid straightaway, weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Experienced writers should be able to write about a wide range of topics. The more flexibility you have in this area, the more work you will be able to do. Work can include: articles, blog posts, product reviews, news items, product intros, eBooks, reports, resumes and much more. Your working week will be filled with variety and new things to write about.

When it comes to the “cons” of article marketing, there are several points that you also need to consider. Since there are thousands of article writers that are competing for jobs, there will be times when you will be offered low rates. This means there is no guarantee that you will be earning thousands of dollars at a time. The chances of having duplicates or articles having similar content is very high. You may end up revising your material just to meet client requirements.

Internet Marketing – How to Start As a Beginner

Internet marketing is like every other businesses, except that internet marketing is done strictly online without need for any physical transactions or physical contacts with buyers.

As the internet marketing business is now thriving like never before, more people wish to establish them themselves in this business. Internet marketing involves the buying, selling and distribution of a product or service on the Internet. Internet marketing has, over the years, become one of the most dynamic and fastest growing businesses throughout the world. The main reason for this growth is its availability in the world to millions (if not billions) of people. It is not easy to learn the basics of Internet marketing. However, it is also not beyond the beginners’ ability to learn rapidly: anyone with passion to do successful business on the internet can do this.

Basically, there are four areas we need to look at:

Website Design

Designing a website is one of the basic skills you must possess before becoming an internet marketer. It used to be a requirement to have knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, and other web design software languages. If you do possess these skills, you are be able to create websites according to your precise specifications. Apart from having these skills, you can join a website design platform (of which there are too many to go into here). These often have “drag and drop” templates. This will allow you to put up a very attractive website in almost no time at all.

These website templates are straight forward, and most have been designed for people who do not have the technical “computer language” skills to do their own programming. If the design of a website is not something you are good at, you can hire a good web designer to do the job for you.

Software Development

The development of software is another category in Internet marketing business. In this category, you develop a tool (or software) according to a customers’ specifications and preferences. This is a difficult task because it requires complex inputs (and something simple like a single comma instead of a period will actually stop the software from working)!

Development of websites is an easier skill to master than this. Some blog or website owners do require the service of software/apps developers from time to time. If you have this type of skill set, you can make good money by offering this service to customers across the globe. Such development may also include setting up the contents of websites, helping people with affiliate marketing, blogging, etc.

Advertising of Products or Services

This is arguably the easiest of all internet marketing techniques. Advertising uses techniques such as search engine optimization, as well as the use of popular blogs/websites to improve ad visibility. The ads are usually posted on websites that have greater use and get a lot of traffic. Examples of advertisements are visible on both Google and Facebook.

The skills to do this are easy to learn and even easier to set up. This type of marketing is preferred by many internet marketers over the website design and software development styles of marketing.

Truly, all you need do is learn how to set up a blog or website and begin to send traffic to it. Once you begin to receive a substantial amount of traffic, you apply to an Ads Company to advertise on your website. Google AdSense, Facebook ads, and propeller ads, are good examples for you to look into. Search engine optimization and the placement of banner ads are excellent examples of internet advertising.

Selling of Products and Services

Probably the largest and most popular way to begin a career in Internet Marketing is by selling a product or service. Selling on the Internet is the most searchable opportunity and is a precondition for any internet marketing business. Most direct sales companies are now tending towards using the Internet as well. You will find that the majority of my articles, blog posts and YouTube videos are centered around this niche of Internet Marketing.

Although there are many, many marketers in this niche (and you may think there is “too much competition”- but you would be wrong!) the opportunities are truly endless. Selling products or services is basically a strategy that can reach a larger audience with fewer expenses.

Sales are made using email marketing, social media and websites. The method of selling depends on the company and the type of business or products you are trying to sell, as well as different methods of approaching your prospective clients. You can sign up to offer products through one of the auction sites on the internet (such as Amazon or E-bay) and earn smaller commissions with less overhead. Or, you can offer products directly and cut out the middle man! You can develop your own products very easily and keep all the profits. Or sign up affiliates to market and sell your products for you and pay them a commission and you keep the profits from that! (We will get into this in later articles).

Anyone planning on entering the internet marketing niche should learn at least one of the skills listed above as well as offer a product or service for sale. Internet business is just like every other business. In order for you to be successful, you must look at this as a job and not just fun. Make your business plan; plan your business; earn your money – but more importantly, offer a product or service that will leave the world a better place!

My 5 Best Internet Marketing and/or Network Marketing Tips

The key thing to remember as a Internet Marketer or Network Marketer is it’s all about 3 main things: 1) Providing Massive Value 2) Building Relationships 3) Developing Great Marketing Systems

How Would I Start If I Was Brand-New To Internet Marketing and/or Network Marketing?

My goal is to encourage you to apply them… And be massively successful!

1. Get A MENTOR!!! I tried to do Internet marketing on my own for several years and probably averaged about $20 for every hundred hours I put into it. I had discovered an exciting and challenging way to make 20ยข an hour! LOL!!! When I finally got a Great MENTOR… I started making real money within the first 30 days… And now I make amazing money virtually on autopilot! READER WARNING! Don’t be as Stupid as I was… Get a Mentor right away! Having a Mentor will take years off your learning curve and will save you a ton of expense, frustration and aggravation. It is so much easier to have somebody show you something and hand you the tools than to try to create it from scratch by yourself. (98.4% of People who try to Learn Internet Marketing / Network Marketing on their own… FAIL!)

2. Focus on setting up your Internet / Network Marketing Systems and doing the work. The best advice anyone can give you is to follow your Mentor’s instructions and take MASSIVE action for the first 90 days. We call this “Priming The Pump!” – When you first start out using Internet Marketing Strategies, you will start putting content and value out into the “Internet Universe” and typically little or nothing will happen in the first 30 days. At this point, many think they are failing… But in the next 30-60 days… You will start to see people signing up to your email list… Signing up under you in your Network Marketing Business… and start seeing sales of your affiliate products. It is in the 35+ day period that you really start to see the benefits of your hard work. This is why we call it “Priming The Pump”… What happens when you prime a pump? Then all the sudden, right when you are ready to give up and quit, you start to see a small stream of water… You keep pumping more… And all the sudden, water (Money $$$) comes gushing out! NEVER forget that this is how the system works! (“Don’t Quit Before The Miracle Happens!”)

3. Study a little bit every day about Internet Marketing and Network Marketing. One way to meet this goal, with no time lost, is to keep audio trainings with you on a cell phone, MP3 player or CD that you can play in your car while you are driving around. Small Business Marketing Hacks Every Business Owner Should Use

There’s a lot that’s changed recently with online marketing. Most people now go straight to Google to search for something they want. The phone book is out and Google, or search traffic is in. If you are a small business owner you can benefit from the internet as a source of business. What’s even better is that you can tap into this resource for free if you have a physical business.

Google Places

Google Places lets you advertise your local business for free in the search results. When someone searches for a local business in your area, your results will come up first for many searches. This is a simple cost effective strategy you should definitely be employing in your business. With Google Places, you list your local business and Google will send you a confirmation postcard with a Google verification code on it. Once you have verified your listing with this code, Google knows you actually reside at this address, or run a business from it.

Google Places works wonders for small business owners who work from a certain location. If you’re not on it you are definitely missing out on business. Plus, your competitors could be using it which means they could be taking your potential customers. To use Google Places just do a quick search for it on Google and it will take you through the setting up process.

Bing Places

Bing also offer this same listing on their own search engine. It’s just like Google Places so not much to add here really. Simply fill out your details on the online platform and verify your listing when you receive a code in the post. When you create your listing you will have to list your business within a certain category, or two. Look through the existing categories and find the one or ones which are the best fit for your business. This is the same as Google Places. By listing in more than one category, if the platform allows, you can benefit from a number of searches within your local area.

Other Listings For Free

Yell and Yahoo also offer free listings for businesses too. Also do a ‘Google search’ for local directories and free listings and you will find a range of sites which offer free business listings in your area. In some cases even the extra links back to your website can make a difference to your ranking, even if the link itself doesn’t bring you more business.

Blogging

You may well not have the time or inclination to start a blog. However, in some business areas blogging is a good way to increase your business reach online in a fairly cost effective way. Depending on your business, and whether it opens itself to a blog, you can get some good results by targeting some keywords in your business niche, or simply writing compelling content and sharing on social media.

Keyword Research

You can use Google’s free keyword planner to search for terms which are already getting hits on the search engine. By finding long tail keywords in your business niche and writing good content for them, you stand more chance of being listed on the search engine. If you can find untapped keywords which bring in customers to your business, you can write articles which will bring in customers for free for years to come for free.

Paid Advertising

After you have exhausted the free methods of advertising, you can start looking at paid advertising methods. Many business owners try and fail with paid advertising. This is why it is worth learning properly the do’s and don’ts of paid advertising.
Pay per click advertising can make a massive impact on your business. But you should also be very careful. Make sure you start out with a small budget and get properly educated on how to create adverts and which keywords to choose. In particular look at the different types of keyword matches. Get this wrong and you can easily burn through your budget and list your advert for entirely the wrong audience.
However, paid advertising is remarkably scalable. Once you have a campaign which works you can easily increase your budget and you are in a position to pay for new customers.

Return On Investment

When I started with pay per click I didn’t understand return on investment. I ‘dipped my toe in’ and dabbled very tentatively. If I didn’t see an immediate profit, I stopped altogether. This is a mistake. Initially there is a lot of testing and measuring to do with paid advertising. After a while you get an advert which successfully brings you customers. However, knowing the return on investment from successful doing this is a game changer. If your customer goes on to purchase again and again, how much are they worth to your business over a year, or 10 years? Knowing this is a huge key to having the confidence to put money into an advertising campaign. Even if you lose money in the short term, your new customers will bring you new business over the long term. Learn the average spend from each customer over a year and then 10 years. Then decide what each customer is worth in terms of advertising. Does this change your view on what you can afford?

Paid Advertising Methods

There are various paid advertising methods available to use for small businesses online. Start with one method and become good at that before moving on to the next. Facebook advertising lets you target potential customers down to their interests, location and other variables. Pay per click advertising lets you target intent driven adverts. With pay per click you start with the keyword your visitor is looking for online. Once you have tested and measured an advertising method and you have a profitable model, you can leave it running and scale it easily. Then move on to the next one.

Even if you only use a couple of the methods suggested in this article, you can dramatically improve your business with only a small amount of effort. Once you have learned all these methods, you will know how to scale up your business and increase your profits. You can then invest in other forms of advertising, testing and measuring as you go. Whether these are on the internet or offline, using the same strategy (which lets you measure the response of a customer) means you can gradually improve all your advertising methods over the long term, increase profits and grow your business.

10 Reasons Why You Should Start An Online Business

Whether you are attracted to an internet business because you hate your current job, want to improve your circumstances, or would like a more flexible lifestyle, the internet offers all these opportunities.

Why An Internet Business?

1- Flexibility

Many people come to find themselves with an internet business through necessity rather than deliberate creation. For me, I needed a flexible job which I could work around contract work. It didn’t come in often but when the phone rang, I needed to take the work. This presented all kinds of problems. Normal work didn’t pay as well and employers didn’t want me taking large chunks of time off when the other work came in!

I tried juggling several jobs over a number of years but nothing seemed to fit. At around the same time I was attempting to use e-bay to buy and sell for a bit of extra money. It wasn’t until later that I discovered affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing, for those who don’t know is a kind of referral selling. You point links from your website to other people’s goods and services. The link is tracked so that when you make a sale you are rewarded for it with a commission.

Once you know how to do this you can set up links from your online content to other people’s products and services. You can also use paid advertising to find people all over the world to sell to. This was perfect for my work because I could take my laptop anywhere with me and as long as I had an internet connection I could work. It didn’t interfere with the work when it came up, I had no boss to answer to so it was the perfect solution.

2 – Automation

There’s also a number of other reasons why I chose an internet business – and why you should too! The flexibility of the business was my primary concern. I wanted to be able to choose my own hours so I could take work when it came without any complications. But the other reason I chose this particular model was the ability to use technology to ‘leverage’ my time and income.

Once I had a website and content up and running, it kept going and I was able to make sales and deliver products without being physically present. This is the ‘magic’ of an online business. The automation involved with an online business means that you can do the work once and let that work keep running in the background. You can make sales and deliver products over and over through the same piece of content or advert, which can run an virtual autopilot 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year.

Each piece of content you create can send people to a landing page and sell a product. By creating many pieces of content and sharing them online you can build multiple sources of income which can all run continually, working as your own ‘automated sales team’.

3 – Ability To Scale

Along with this amazing automation is the ability to scale your business. Because there is no human intervention in the ‘sales loop’, multiple sales can happen instantaneously through the same platforms. Your content and advertising can be grown over time and scaled instantly (in the case of paid advertising). As your content gets more shares and more people flow through your website and content, your sales grow as a result. If you use paid advertising you can also scale a profitable campaign up easily by increasing your daily budget.

The automation of an online business makes it very easy to scale. In the case of a physical business this often means more staff, sales tools, larger office space and a whole lot more expense and hassle. With an online business everything is already in place. You simply need to send more customers through the automated sales systems with content and/or paid advertising methods.

4 – Low Startup Costs

When I started an online business I did it from my own pocket. I didn’t need a massive loan and I worked at a level which suited my budget. An internet business is very cost effective and you can start from scratch from pretty much any budget. If you have more to invest you can grow it faster with paid advertising. But, if you are on a budget like I was when I got started, you can get started easily and cheaply.

With a regular ‘bricks and mortar’ business there are many overheads to consider. Your costs include a business premises, staff, hardware and stock. Then there’s advertising and delivery costs. With an online business you just need a laptop and an internet connection – two things many people already have. Your main cost is getting the right education and learning the best strategy to build on.

5 – Simplicity

Technology has made it much easier than was previously possible to set up your own website and learn how to use simple online platforms to connect people to products and services. Advertising and content creation is now available for anyone to use. Websites can be set up with a few clicks and anyone with an email can learn to use the tools and strategies of online marketers.

Whereas previously website building was the domain of the tech savvy programmer, now anyone can use simple user friendly platforms and programs. An online business sounds like something for a technical person, but anyone can now learn the skills needed to build their own online business.

6 – Control

An internet business gives you control over your life. Of course it takes time to build up to a stage where it can replace your current income. But the flexibility of an internet business means you can work it around your existing employment until you can make this happen.
Once your income is beyond that of your employment, you are in a very good position to take charge of your life. You don’t have to do the daily commute, or put up with an uncomfortable working situation. If you don’t like your job you can quit. Don’t like your boss? Fire him/her!
One of the very best things about an internet based business is the control it gives you over your life. You can also build your work around your lifestyle, rather than the other way round. Most people are forced to put work first in everything they do. Family time, holidays and hobbies all tend to depend and evolve around work. An internet business allows you to prioritize the things in your life which mean the most. It can put you back in the driving seat of your life, both in terms of what you earn and how you spend your time.

7 – Work From Anywhere

Not only does an internet business offer great flexibility in terms of working hours but it also offers you the choice to work from anywhere globally. This appeals to many people who would otherwise be more trapped by conventional work in a localized workplace.
For me, it was the flexibility of being able to choose my own hours and not have a boss. But for many the ability to travel anywhere globally is the most important factor to owning their own online business.
Take your laptop anywhere with an internet connection and work while abroad and travelling.

8 – Learn Life Skills

The skills I have learned from building my own internet business also make me much more employable. I also worked for an internet based company with the skills I learned from my laptop while sitting at home!

Being able to reach people globally and target specific types of people is a great skill and very desirable in business too. I was also able to use the knowledge I learned online to build one of my other physical businesses much more quickly by using both my website building skills and paid advertising.

The internet is a fantastic opportunity for anyone to be able to improve themselves, learn new skills and build another source of income. Skills learned are yours for life, whether or not you continue down the path of building an online business.

9 – Independence

We might believe ourselves to be independent but many of us are very dependent on our work for income. As such, our employers tell us how much we can earn, how much holiday we can take and what we will be doing while at work. Financial independence is the ultimate freedom.

When we are financially independent we can take a holiday whenever we please and work in our own time and on our own agenda. An online business gives you the automation and independence to live life on your terms, without the agenda of an employer running your life.

10 – Sovereignty

Being an owner gives you sovereignty. The ability to call the shots in your business is what many entrepreneurs aspire to. As a business owner your actions determine whether you make a success of your business or not.

Having a successful online business gives you the kind of freedom which most people will never see in their lifetime. The ability to create your own life on your terms is the reward of having worked hard on your business and on yourself.

It is important to rightly identify your interests and area of expertise while getting on to buying a business. If you are totally blank about what type of business to invest, the best move is to eliminate those which don’t seem to be interesting to you to shorten the list.

Consider your expertise while you are planning to buy a business. You may not be able to run something which you are fully ignorant about. Such a filtering also will help you narrow down your considerations to the best acceptable businesses.

Do proper groundwork to come up with a set of conditions as location, timings, size of the business etc.. Only consider the business satisfactory meeting your demands. While considering a business, just drop those which don’t at least meet 80% of your conditions to end up with the best in hand.

You also need to quantify your investment before searching for opportunities for buying a business. Check out for reasons why the business is put on sale and take a decision accordingly.

Keeping all these in mind, you need to perform due diligence while planning to buy a business and if not confident on doing it on your own, consider the option of reliable business brokers to take it up on your behalf.
